God is Crazy, and so is Prayer.

Thank you for taking time to look at my blog! It's an awesome way to follow what God is doing in my life as He prepares me for returning to Guatemala. Wow! These past few months have been so insane and I thank everyone who has already been supporting me throughout this journey. I thank God for your prayers and love every day. I am leaving in 3 1/2 months for El Tizate and it's just starting to hit me now! The most random things, such as an airplane going by, a child who looks like the little ones I left behind in March, or even a certain smell will leave me with a lump in my throat because it reminds me of Guatemala and I so long to be back in this place that feels like home.

God has been challenging me, teaching me, asking me to speak, shaping my character, stretching me (sometimes so much that it hurts) and loving me all at the same time to prepare me for what lies in the very near future. We serve an incredible God who knows exactly what we need. At one point, I was stressing about raising money for the trip so much that I finally had to drop on my knees and beg Him to take my anxiety away because I could no longer bear the weight of $12,500 on my shoulders. Even though I am still very much in fund-raise mode, He has taken the weight off of my shoulders, because I was right. I can't raise that much money, but He can. It's only my job to be obedient, and He'll do the rest.

What I need more than anything is prayer. God has taught me time and time again that prayer is the most powerful tool that He has given us, and I am asking you to please pray for me. Pray for my heart, that God will continue to seek it out and correct it. Pray that He will encourage hearts to give so that I can continue this mission He's sending me on. God is crazy, and so is prayer.
