I Am in Love

I am in love with a God who bestows grace upon grace. I am in love with a God who knows me better than I know myself. I am in love with a God who decided to put one of His daughters in a place where she would have to depend on Him, where she would be unsure, sometimes frustrated, and where her heart would break, so that she could understand His own better. I am in love with a God who desires to abide with me every day, so that He can show me who He wants me to be. I'm in love with a God who has promised me that He's going to use me for His glory, even when I feel useless, unable to speak the language of the people I want to love so badly. I am in love with a Father who holds His children close to His heart, and when His child is overwhelmed, frustrated, homesick, or just being selfish, He whispers to her in His roaring voice, "My Daughter, you are loved. You are forgiven. I have chosen you for a reason. I am here, and this is all part of something bigger than you. Trust me, hold onto me, let me transform your heart, and I am going to use you to fulfill my purpose."

I am in love with a great Author who is writing a glorious story of redemption, and a Son who has displayed the most radical kind of love the world has ever known; the most radical kind of love that I have ever known. I am in love with a God whose love takes my breath away, and a God who then reminds me that it is He who puts breath into my lungs.
